The first thing that you need to do to is to remove the rust using a wire brush so that the flaking is removed. Then carefully dust away the particles. After this is done you need to take some rubbing alcohol and remove any of the dirt that has built up around the leak. The next step is to paint on some rust stopper so that the rust cannot perform any more damage and you can repair the area and prevent further problems.

Make Sure the New Piece Matches

Take a new piece of corrugated roofing, place it over the old piece and screw it in. Make sure that it is the same size as the old piece so that when you attach it to the structure there are no problems. If you want to make sure that it matches the rest of the pattern simply use galvanised screws and make sure that you line it up with the pattern so it fits very tightly into place. This is a very important step when doing corrugated roof repair as it prevents further repair problems and to the eye looks as new.

If this happens you could end up having to do further corrugated roof repair. Water can cause a build-up of rust and can cause leaks in future, making the need for another repair.

Protecting the Corrugated Roof from Future Damage

The last step that you need to perform is painting over the seams of the newly installed piece of metal. Make sure that you use some roof coating as this will add extra protection to the roof and prevent any problems in the future. After all you don’t want to have to do this again.
